Kimball Man Is 'Big Brother' Contestant

'Big Brother 8' Houseguests

Kimball, Minn. (AP) ― An elementary school teacher in New London says her son is the newest reality TV star.

Marsha Starcevic of Kimball says her son -- 25-year-old Nick -- is one of 14 contestants on "Big Brother Eight" on CBS.

The show puts contestants in a house and monitors them with cameras 24 hours a day. One is voted out each week and winner receives $500,000.

The mother says it's a little unnerving knowing that millions of people across the country are watching her son on a daily basis.

Nick graduated from Kimball in 2000 and the University of North Dakota this spring. Marsha says her son plans to do some modeling after the show is done

The show airs on CBS at 8 p.m. Tuesday and 7 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays.
