Local K-9 Gets Spot In Animal Hall Of Fame

(WCCO) A Twin Cities police K-9 dog was inducted into the Animal Hall of Fame.

"Chips", a 9-year-old German shepherd has led Anoka investigators to suspects and drugs for the past seven years.

He was inducted into the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association's Animal Hall of Fame.

Chips has been ranked among the top 10 police dogs in the country for the past five years.

He has also won local commendations for finding a lost 9-year-old child and tracking down a man in a stolen car.
