Doctors delivered a woman's baby after she was involved in a high-speed crash that closed part of Interstate 94 near Rogers, Minn. late Thursday night.
The accident happened around 11:30 p.m. east of Highway 101. Three people were injured in the one-vehicle crash.
The Minnesota State Patrol said the car, a 1999 Ford Mustang, may have topped 100 miles per hour before it plowed into the interstate ditch.
One of the passengers, Jamie Baer, a 22-year-old Zimmerman, Minn. woman, was pinned in the car after the crash.
She was six months pregnant and was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center where doctors had to deliver her baby.
Baer suffered head injuries. She and her baby are in listed in critical condition.
The driver, 21-year-old, Frank Tregoning was thrown from the car. The patrol said he was not wearing a seat belt.
Tregoning and the third passenger, 22-year-old Kelsey Palmer, went to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, Minn. They are both expected to be fine and are listed in fair condition.
Captain Dave Graham said it looks like all three were drinking and the Tregoning will be charged with that and the crash.
Graham said it's a reminder that drinking and driving don't mix.
"There's a certain percentage of the population that really for some reason isn't getting the message that this is life altering and life changing type of behavior we're talking about," said Graham.
