Waseca Hospital Administrator Dies, Had H1N1

MANKATO, Minn. (WCCO) ― The executive vice-president and administrator of Waseca Medical Center in the Mayo Health System died Saturday evening.

According to an official within the Mayo system, Mike Milbrath died at Immanuel St. Joseph's in Mankato on Saturday.

Though the cause of death has not yet been determined, but a Mayo official confirmed Milbrath had been diagnosed with the H1N1 flu virus.

"This is an incredibly sad time for all of us and words cannot begin to express our grief," says Greg Kutcher, M.D., president and CEO of Immanuel St. Joseph's. "We ask the community to join us in offering sincere sympathy, support and prayers to the Milbrath family during this difficult time."

Milbrath joined the Waseca Medical Center in 1995 and is survived by his wife and three daughters, as well as both of his parents.
