Ex-College Janitor Charged For Hidden Camera Found

MOORHEAD, Minn. (AP) ― A former janitor at Concordia College was charged Monday for allegedly aiming a hidden camera at a women's shower on campus.

Steven J. Sopko, 31, of Dilworth was charged in Clay County District Court with seven counts of gross misdemeanor interference with privacy. Each charge carries a maximum sentence of one year in prison and/or a $3,000 fine.

Police were called to Memorial Auditorium on Wednesday evening after female athletes discovered a video camera in an air duct in the locker room.

Sopko was questioned by police, and the school fired him Friday.
