An official homecoming will be held Saturday for a St. Paul-based helicopter battalion that returned from Iraq this summer.
During eleven months in Iraq, the 2nd Assault Helicopter Battalion, 147th Aviation Regiment performed aviation support and air assault missions.
Nearly a quarter of the unit's members are women, including two all-women Blackhawk helicopter crews.
All 260 members of the battalion returned from Iraq in July.
Governor Pawlenty and U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar will speak at today's homecoming celebration at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
