Authorities Identify Man Found In Gonvick Fire

BAGLEY, Minn. (AP) ― The Clearwater County sheriff's office is identifying the man found dead in a house fire in Gonvick on Monday as 66-year-old Clifton "Buzz" Gustafson.

A news release from the sheriff says the rural house was fully engulfed in flames when law enforcement officers arrived.

The Thursday news release says no foul play is suspected. The fire marshal's initial findings indicate the fire started outside the home, perhaps from a burn pile.

Gonvick is about 35 miles northwest of Bemidji in northwestern Minnesota.
