Young Anatomy Students Compete For 'Golden Femur'

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) ― The Golden Femur and Silver Spleen trophies are up for grabs as hundreds of students gather at the University of Minnesota to compete for the anatomy prizes.

More than 350 students from 10 high schools will gather Wednesday to see who can make the best YouTube video on human anatomy and physiology. The teams produced videos of up to 60 seconds.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the university's Mayo Memorial Auditorium in Minneapolis.

The winners will walk away with the Golden Femur. The second place team gets the Silver Spleen and the third place team will go home armed with a humerus bone.

The contest is part of the university's College in the Schools program.
