2 St. Paul Freeway Ramps Still Closed After RNC

ST. PAUL (AP) ― Two freeway ramps in St. Paul won't be open in time for this morning's rush hour.

MnDOT had hoped to reopen the ramps on northbound Interstate 35E to Kellogg Boulevard and eastbound I-94 to 5th Street by 6 this morning.

But a spokeswoman for MnDOT's Metro District says there are still barricades that need to be removed from the Republican National Convention that wrapped up last night at Xcel Energy Center in downtown St. Paul.

MnDOT hopes to reopen the ramps by 9 or 10 this morning.

All other ramps are open.
