2 Killed In 2 Separate Accidents On I-94

(WCCO)

Two drivers were killed in two separate late night crashes Friday.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 20-year-old Danielle Pound of Plymouth died when her car hit a median divider near Shingle Creek Parkway just before 2 a.m. Saturday morning on Interstate 94.

Pound lost control of her car and crossed all lanes of I-694 and I-94 before hitting the divider head-on.

Investigators said they don't know what caused the accident.

The other crash happened near Cedar Avenue on I-94.

Investigators said a person was driving a Chevy Malibu very fast and hit the back of another car and lost control.

The Malibu then rolled up the embankment.

The driver of the car was killed. Two passengers in that car were critically hurt.

There were two men in the other car that was hit. Their conditions are not known.
