Retired Farmer Dies After Tractor Rolls

CALLAWAY, Minn. (WCCO) ― A retired farmer is dead after the tractor he was driving rolled one time, trapping him underneath.

According to the Becker County Sheriff's Office, a 90-year-old man was operating his tractor in rural Callaway, Minn. when he attempted to drive onto the shoulder area located next to a culvert.

Authorities said it appeared the front wheel of the tractor collapsed the culvert, causing the tractor to roll one time, trapping the man underneath the tractor at the bottom of the ravine.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld pending notification of his relatives.
