Emilee Olson's visitation took place at Christ Lutheran Church in Cottonwood Saturday night. She, along with three other children, died after a school bus crash in Cottonwood last Tuesday.
A lot of classmates, teachers, family and friends showed up to pay their last respects to the 9-year-old 3rd grader who loved ponies and playing the piano.
A couple days ago her brother Sidney was released from a Sioux Falls hospital after being treated for a broken hand. He also had glass removed from his head after the accident.
Around the town of about 1,200 residents, people continue to grieve for these victims and their families.
Last night the Lakeview Girls basketball team played a playoff game that had been rescheduled due to the accident. It was their first game since the crash.
"We're getting through it. Cottonwood is a small town, but we have a lot of school spirit. It was a hard game to play, but we got through it," said Mackenzie Nelson, a junior at Lakeview High School.
