2 Arrested For Stealing Dog Collars At Menards

OAK PARK HEIGHTS, Minn. (AP) ― Two people accused of stealing dog collars from retailers in Indiana and Minnesota have been caught.

Police in Oak Park Heights say they arrested the two suspects from Chicago on Tuesday after getting a call from Menards.

The pair are accused of stealing "several thousand dollars" worth of electric dog collars in several cities.

Police say a store employee recognized the suspects after seeing an alert from a Menards store in Avon, Indiana. They were also wanted by police in Duluth, Winona and Buffalo, Minnesota.

The police reports didn't indicate why the suspects were after the dog collars.
