CROSBY, Minn. (WCCO) ― A woman who suffered a seizure while being arrested at Independence Day celebrations in Crosby died.

Police Chief Kim Coughlin said two women were fighting last Saturday when officers were called to the scene. Both of them were handcuffed and were said to be cooperative.

One of the two, a 38-year-old woman, suffered a seizure while handcuffed. She was airlifted to Abbott Northwestern, where she died about 24 hours later.

Coughlin said no Tasers were used during the arrest.

The Hennepin County medical examiner will be performing an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
