Richfield Man Convicted Of Selling Crack

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) ― Two men from South Dakota and Minnesota were found guilty of selling crack cocaine in Sioux Falls as part of an investigation that led to charges against 26 people.

Federal jurors convicted 23-year-old Tyler Brown of Sioux Falls and 22-year-old Branyon Pippenger of Richfield, Minn., of conspiracy to distribute or possess with intent to distribute 50 grams.

The crime carries a maximum punishment of life in prison and a fine.

Of the 26 defendants indicted in the conspiracy that started in 2005, 23 others pleaded guilty and another was acquitted.

Prosecutors say those charged bought crack and powder cocaine in Minneapolis and elsewhere and sold it in Sioux Falls.
