Mpls. Cop Charged With Felony False Imprisonment
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ―
A veteran decorated Minneapolis police officer has been charged Wednesday evening with felony false imprisonment.
Prosecutors said Officer Tony Adams handcuffed two teenagers and forced them into his black SUV.
Court papers note that police were called to Adams' Brooklyn Park neighborhood on a possible kidnapping.
Adams told investigators he handcuffed a 13 year old and his 12-year-old friend together for possibly breaking into a car.
The boys said they were just playing ding dong ditch when Adams answered the door and allegedly went after them.
