Patrol: 2 Killed In Chisago County Crash

(WCCO) Two people were killed in a crash in Chisago County Friday morning, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 95 at Sunrise Road.

The Minnesota State Patrol said a minivan ran a stop sign and hit a semi truck at the base of its wheels.

That caused the truck to jackknife and land in a ditch.

The two people in the minivan were killed instantly. One of them was thrown out of the vehicle.

The driver of the truck is doing OK.

No word yet whether icy roads played a factor in the crash.
