The Chippewa County coroner says a 17-year-old Chippewa Falls boy died after he was found buried in the rubble of a burned home.
Authorities say firefighters from the New Auburn Fire Department responded to a house fire with a person probably still inside early Saturday morning in the Town of Sampson.
The Chippewa County Sheriff's Department says firefighters found the teen's body under collapsed roof and walls. The boy's body is being sent to Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, Minn. for an autopsy.
Several other people escaped the fire and were treated at a hospital in Bloomer.
The identity of the boy has not been released.
