2 Children Fall From 3-Story Window In Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ― Two children, both under the age of three, fell out of a third story window in Minneapolis, according to police.

At about 3:30 Wednesday afternoon police received a call to the East Phillips Commons apartment building located at 2909 Bloomington Avenue.

According to a police spokesperson, the two children fell threw the screen of the window when their pregnant mother stepped out of the room to go to the bathroom.

Police said one child has a broken arm and the other had minor bumps and bruises. Both were transported to Hennepin County Medical Center.

Police investigators ruled the fall an accident and not further investigation is expected.
