Burned Body Found In Flaming Car

GAYLORD, Minn. (WCCO) ― An unidentified body was discovered in a burned-out vehicle early Saturday morning near Green Isle, Minn.

According to the Sibley County Sheriff's Office, an was found aflame on private property in Washington Lake Township at about 4:15 a.m.

Once the fire was extinguished, crews found a charred body inside. The fire was so strong they were not able to recover the vehicles VIN number but did find a portion of the license plate.

The body remains unidentified pending an autopsy at the Anoka County Medical Examiner's Office.
