Bricelyn Teen Critical But Stable After Shooting

BRICELYN, Minn. (AP) ―

No charges are expected in a shooting that critically wounded a 15-year-old boy in southern Minnesota.

The boy was shot Tuesday near Bricelyn. He remains in critical but stable condition at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Faribault County Sheriff Mike Gormley says a 19-year-old man also was in the house at the time, but the shooting remains under investigation. The 15-year-old from Bricelyn was struck in the head. His name has not been released.

The sheriff says the shooting appears accidental, and that the gun was not locked up.
