Brainerd Woman Sentenced For Biting Son

(AP) A Brainerd woman has been sentenced to serve 18 months for biting her 5-year-old son.

Cody Lee Larson pleaded guilty to malicious punishment of a child. She was sentenced Friday in a Crow Wing County courtroom.

Larson was sentenced to serve at least 12 months in prison and a maximum of six months on supervised release. She did not address the court.

Larson bit her son on the face and arms on March 5 at their home.

Larson's attorney told the court that Larson now understands if she drinks alcohol she can't have her children back and that she wants to turn her life around.
