13-Year-Old Jumps On Car, Gets Stuck Underneath

OTSEGO, Minn. (WCCO) ― A 13-year-old boy is in serious condition after he jumped on top of a car, and slid underneath, lodging himself between the driver's side tire and wheel well around 6 p.m. in Otsego.

The Wright County Sheriff's Department said the boy was goofing around and jumped on a car driven by his sister's boyfriend on the 8300-block of Nashua Avenue NE. The boyfriend saw the boy and slowed down but the teen still jumped on the car and slid off the hood.

The car was only going about 5 to 10 mph, according to a sheriff's deputy, when the boy jumped on the car.

The young boy was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital after he was freed from the wheel well. He is in serious condition with injuries to his chest.
