Child Running Across Street Hit by Car

(WCCO) An 11-year old boy is in critical condition after he was hit by a car Friday night.

Police said around 10:30 p.m. the boy was running across Arlington Avenue in St. Paul when he was hit by a red Ford Explorer.

Police arrived on scene and found the boy lying in the street unconscious.

While talking to the driver of the vehicle that hit the boy, the officers noticed signs of intoxication.

After investigating further they arrested the man for Felony Criminal Vehicle Operation and booked him into Ramsey County Jail.

The boy is at Regions Hospital with head injuries.
