Police Say Teen Killed Man, Shopped For Xbox

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ― A teen has been charged in the death of a man inside his south Minneapolis apartment.

Police said 18-year-old Arturo Andres Rocha-Campiz was charged Thursday in the death Monday of 32-year-old Juan Francisco Canas Ramirez.

Rocha-Campiz is charged with second-degree felony murder.

Police initially called the death suspicious, and medical officials later ruled that the victim died from multiple sharp force injuries.

According to police, investigators were led to Rocha-Campiz through text messaging and his use of the victim's credit cards.

The criminal complaint said Rocha-Campiz used the victim's credit cards to buy stuff at Macy's and Target, including an Xbox.

On Monday evening, emergency medical crews responded to a call on the 5700 block of Bossen Terrace where they found the victim dead.
