Officials Identify Body Pulled From Mississippi

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ― Hennepin County officials have identified the body pulled out of the Mississippi River near the Stone Arch Bridge on Sunday.

The body was identified as 21-year-old Edward David Benjamin of Mounds View, Minn., according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner. Benjamin's body was seen floating near the Lower St. Anthony Falls Lock and Dam on Sunday afternoon.

Dozens of people were watching from the bridge as authorities retrieved the body from the river. Hennepin County officials are still investigating the exact cause of death.
