Klobuchar, McCollum To Attend Fort Hood Memorial

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) ― Some members of Minnesota's congressional delegation are among those attending Tuesday's memorial service for the victims of the shooting at Fort Hood Army Base in Texas last week.

Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Rep. Betty McCollum plan to attend the cermony at the sprawling Army base.

Pfc. Kham Xiong of St. Paul is among the 13 people who died in the assault. He was preparing to deploy to Afghanistan. Twenty-nine people were wounded in the shooting.

The alleged gunman, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, was among the injured. Authorities haven't said when charges would be filed or whether he will face military justice.

President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama will also attend the ceremony.

McCollum represents Minnesota's 4th district.
