Auditor Looks Into AG Office's Remodeling Project

(AP) A regularly scheduled audit of the state attorney general's office will include a look at a remodeling project that some have called into question.

Legislative Auditor James Nobles says in a letter Friday to Republican Sen. David Hann of Eden Prairie that he'll incorporate Hann's questions about the $15,000 installation of sound-proof doors into the audit.

Hann sent the inquiry after WCCO-TV reported on the doors for Attorney General Lori Swanson's office. Swanson, a Democrat, has said the heavy-duty doors were installed after a security assessment.
