94-Year-Old Minn. Man Dies In ATV Crash

HINES, Minn. (AP) ― A 94-year-old man is dead after his all-terrain vehicle collided with a car near Hines in northern Minnesota.

The State Patrol says Herman Pater of Hines had left a private driveway on his ATV and was crossing U.S. 71 when he drove into the path of a car.

Pater was dead at the scene of Wednesday's accident. The driver of the car was not hurt.

Hines is about 12 miles north of Bemidji.
