1 Dead, 1 Hurt In 3-Vehicle Crash On I-35W

LINO LAKES, Minn. (WCCO) ― The driver of a semi tractor is dead after he lost control of the vehicle and hit two other cars on Interstate 35W, according to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office.

The crash happened Friday afternoon on I-35W at Lake Drive in Lino Lakes. The 62-year-old driver from Chisago County was declared dead at the scene.

Investigators say a 36-year-old woman from Plymouth was also hurt, but she should be OK.

Northbound I-35W was closed for several hours during the investigation and as the crash was cleared.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office, Lino Lakes Police Department, Anoka County Coroner's Office and Minnesota State Patrol are all looking into the crash.
