In The Know: I Want My Late-Night Burger

(WCCO) Some cities are fighting obesity by outlawing fast food restaurants and putting nutrition facts in your face.

Don Shelby asks whether the government will be writing our menus soon.

The Los Angeles ban targets places I like to stop at and eat on the way home -- and, they just started staying open later. That way I can eat right before I go to bed -- which is another no-no.

I wake up feeling like someone sat on my stomach all night.

A city councilman in Minneapolis wants nutrition posted at some restaurants.

When I'm hungry, my eyes blur and I can't read small print.

Besides, I already know that a giant burger at 11 o'clock at night is not fruits and vegetables.

I think there is an obesity epidemic. I think there is a role for government in telling us about good nutrition, but they will have to make it a felony to eat a burger at 11:00 after not eating all day.

They can post all the nutritional facts they want, but if they close down the late-night burger joint by my house, I'm going to end up going to prison for felonious consumption of a cheeseburger.
