WCCO To Host 3rd 'Bloginar'
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ―
WCCO-TV will be holding its third "bloginar" event at Wilde Roast in Northeast Minneapolis on Wednesday, February 25th from 5:30 p.m. 7 p.m.
A "bloginar" is an evening of live, in-person, information and conversation between bloggers of all kinds.
During this event Minnesota's own Kevin Gilbertson will talk about the invention and development of his online sensation TinyUrl.com. The wildly popular site is used by bloggers and others on Twitter and Facebook to shorten internet URLs to save space. The site claims to get more than 1.5 billion hits a month. Kevin's also an avid unicyclist.
Jeanette Trompeter, WCCO-TV anchor, reporter and WCCO.com blogger, will also be a special guest at Wednesday's "bloginar." She'll talk about what she's learned as a fairly new blogger. Jeanette shares a lot of personal stories online with readers. We'll talk about that, too.
The event is open to anyone. It will begin with 30 minutes of socializing and networking from 5:30 p.m. 6 p.m. That will be followed by the discussion with guests from 6 p.m. 7 p.m.
