Regions Hospital Kept Busy During RNC

ST. PAUL (AP) ― Regions Hospital in St. Paul says it was busier than normal this week during the Republican National Convention.

The hospital's emergency room saw an average of more than 212 patients from August 30 through September 4.

The emergency room normally treats about 180 patients each day during this time of year.

Regions also had a health care center inside the Xcel Energy Center, where the convention was held. Officials say 195 people requested medical assistance at the center during the four-day event, and seven of those were transported to area hospitals.
