The heat isn't letting up across southern Minnesota.
The National Weather Service has issued heat warnings for Tuesday for Hennepin and Ramsey counties, the rest of the Twin Cities metropolitan area and west to the South Dakota border.
The weather service says temperatures will climb into the middle 90s, and coupled with the high humidity it will feel like it's 100 to 105 degrees. It hit 94 in Minneapolis on Monday.
The Hennepin County Medical Center recommends beating the heat by staying in an air-conditioned building, drinking plenty of water and avoiding heavy exercise during the hottest part of the day.
An HCMC spokeswoman says its emergency department has seen in uptick in patients with existing medical conditions that were affected by the heat.
