How To Avoid Getting Sick At The Office

(WCCO) It's that time of year when the flu and cold viruses are most prevalent. Troy "Coach T" Eichers, a health and fitness expert, offered a few suggestions to protect yourself.

Keeping your hands clean is very important -- preferably by washing them with soap and very warm water. But if you're not near a sink, you can carry anti-bacterial wipes or solutions.

It's also a good idea to wipe down your keyboard, cell phone, computer mouse and other desk items, because you never know who else has been using them while you're away from your desk.

In general, keep your hands away from your eyes, mouth, nose and face, to keep germs from entering your system.

One more tip: the better rested you are, the more resistant you are to illness.
