Couple Returns To Hospital Healthy, Thankful

(WCCO) Two years ago, a Minnesota couple was in the hospital after they were severely injured in an accident.

On Tuesday, they returned to that hospital, healthy and thankful.

Elizabeth and Al Abraham said they can't thank the staff at Hennepin County Medical Center enough for saving their lives.

"We have businesses to run, vacations to take, and because of you we'll be able to do that for a long, long time," said Elizabeth Abraham.

The couple was airlifted to the hospital after a bad crash in 2007.

On Tuesday the couple toured the hospital to thank doctors, nurses and other staff members for their care.

They also announced they were donating $5,000 to each the emergency department and traumatic brain injury staff development.
