HealthParners has launched a new mobile service they hope will help guide smart phone users to health care with greater ease.
The company announced on Wednesday the mobile service, which can be accessed at
healthpartners.com/mobile.
The
service features a way to easily access directions to nearby clinics
and hospitals anywhere in the country. It also contains easy-to-find
phone numbers, 24-hour CareLine nurse support and other member services.
"Mobile
access to health care information is critical to improving the overall
experience we want to achieve with our customers," said Scott
Aebischer, HealthPartners senior vice president for customer services
and product innovation. "We've had an extremely positive response to
our Online Patient Services, which give patients online access to test
results, immunization records and the ability to make appointments via
the Web, and to our health plan online explanation of benefits."
HealthPartners
also announced they are planning to test other secure smart phone
services early next year, including a program that would allow patients
to contact their care managers through two-way messaging. They plan on
testing the program with women who have high-risk pregnancies and also
patients with chronic conditions who are away from the hospital.
