Daniel Hauser To Receive More Chemo Today

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ― Daniel Hauser will be back in the Twin Cities Thursday to get his next round of chemotherapy.

Hauser, 13, was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma late last year. He went through one chemotherapy treatment in January, but his family stopped treatment and started alternative healing methods after Danny had a bad reaction to it.

His mother Colleen Hauser released a statement Wednesday saying how hard the treatment has been on her son, and that she hopes Thursday's treatment is an improvement.

She also said her son spent a full day getting sick and didn't feel well all week after his last chemo treatment.

Daniel and Colleen Hauser skipped a court hearing last month and went to southern California temporarily to try and avoid treatments. They eventually returned and submitted to further chemotherapy treatments.

They came back and agreed to more chemo after a judge threatened to put Daniel Hauser in foster care. Doctors say his chance of survival without chemo is only about 5 percent.
