BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (AP) ― Actress Margot Kidder and the swimmer who played the Creature from the Black Lagoon are scheduled to appear at the fourth annual Crypticon Minneapolis.

Kidder played Lois Lane in the "Superman" movies starring Christopher Reeve. Her scary movie credits include "The Amityville Horror" and "Black Christmas."

Other Crypticon headliners include Ricou Browning, who played the Gill Man in the underwater scenes of "The Creature From the Black Lagoon" movies, and Bill Moseley, who starred in "The Devil's Rejects" and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2."

The horror convention will be held Nov. 6-8 at the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel. Events include a creepy costume contest, a movie special-effects makeup demonstration and music from more than 15 bands.
