Country Star To Perform At Benefit For Burned Girl

SAUK RAPIDS, Minn. (AP) ―

Country music star Dierks Bentley is scheduled to perform at a benefit for a Sauk Rapids girl severely burned in a fire pit accident.

Bentley will perform next Tuesday at the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Minneapolis to benefit 13-year-old Taylor Strand.

Taylor's uncle, Barry Cedergren, says Bentley also has donated a guitar that will be auctioned off and will sign autographs.

Taylor was burned on over 70 percent of her body one month ago. She underwent her fifth surgery on Monday.

The doors will open at the Hard Rock Cafe in Minneapolis at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Bentley scheduled to perform at 11:30 a.m.

Bentley already was scheduled to be at the Hard Rock for a CD release party. He's in town promoting his new greatest hits CD.
