Mom Won't Say Why Lohan Is In Rehab

NEW YORK (AP) ― Lindsay Lohan's mom won't say why her daughter's in rehab, but she says "the positive thing is that somebody's trying to help themselves."

Dina Lohan tells "Entertainment Tonight" that her daughter's troubles have been blown out of proportion by the media.

For instance, Lohan says her daughter really did have her appendix out recently, but she says there were rumors of everything from a liver problem to an abortion.

Lohan is pleading with the paparazzi to leave her daughter alone. She says Lindsay can't even go for a cup of coffee without being hounded.

Lohan's interview airs tonight on "Entertainment Tonight."
