Heather Mills, Lawyers Part Ways

LONDON (AP) ― Heather Mills has parted company with the law firm that had represented her in her divorce from former Beatle Paul McCartney, the firm said Friday.

Shimon Cohen, of Mishcon de Reya Solicitors, confirmed news reports that the firm was no longer representing her, but declined as a matter of policy to say why or when it ceased to do so.

Mishcon de Reya represented Princess Diana in her divorce from Prince Charles, whose divorce lawyer, Fiona Shackleton, is representing McCartney.

Mills McCartney also recently lost her media spokesman, Phil Hall, because of her decision to give television interviews in which she criticized the media and McCartney.

In another TV interview on Thursday, Mills McCartney said last week's interviews were "cathartic."
