Michelle Obama To Appear In Rochester, St. Paul

ST. PAUL (AP) ― On the heels of a visit by Republican presidential candidate John McCain, Minnesota is getting a visit from Democrat Barack Obama's wife, Michelle.

She is due in the state for a pair of events Monday. They'll be held in Rochester and the Twin Cities.

The Obama campaign says she'll discuss "everyday challenges" facing families and the economy.

Senator Obama was last in Minnesota in early August.

For his part, McCain appeared Friday at a forum in the suburb of Lakeville. It was his second appearance in Minnesota since accepting the Republican nomination in St. Paul in early September.

Recent polls give the edge to Obama.
