New Leader Takes Over At School Hit By Bus Crash

COTTONWOOD, Minn. (AP) ― The new superintendent at the western Minnesota school district that lost four children in a school bus crash says his job won't be easy.

Chris Fenske started his job this month as superintendent of the Lakeview School District in Cottonwood.

It's been a little more than four months since the fatal crash, which also left several students injured.

Fenske says dealing with the anniversary of the bus crash will be especially tough. He says the school will need to continue to offer support to children and their families as the community continues to heal.

Before coming to Cottonwood, Fenske had worked for the Breckenridge School District near the North Dakota border for the past nine years.
