St. John's Committee To Name Acting President

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. (AP) ― A committee at St. John's University is being asked to choose an acting president after Brother Dietrich Reinhart recently announced he has lung cancer.

Reinhart has been St. John's president since 1991.

Board of Regents Chairman Jim Frey says Dietrich's cancer diagnosis will require him to be focused on treatment and healing.

The committee has been asked to name an acting president no later than late November.
