Man Shooting At Fish Locks Down School

PRINCETON, Minn. (WCCO) ― Police said that just before 1:00 p.m. Friday, they received a call from Princeton Middle School staff reporting a gunshot heard from a wooded area near school grounds.

School officials immediately initiated a lockdown of the four district buildings.

Investigators said they found a man that had been fishing from a boat on Rum River in Princeton Township. He admitted to firing a single shot at a carp.

Police said they determined that the man was not a threat to students and staff, and administrators reopened the school.
