Former Sibley East School Official Pleads Guilty

GAYLORD, Minn. (AP) ― The former transportation director for Sibley East Schools has pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal sexual conduct involving a teenage girl.

Kevin David Jones, 47, was charged with five counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree and two counts of felony violation of a restraining order.

Jones pleaded guilty Monday to one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and to a misdemeanor violation of a restraining order. The other counts were dismissed.

Jones was accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl while he was employed by the school district.

Judge Thomas McCarthy ordered a pre-sentence investigation and a psychological evaluation. Sentencing is scheduled for June 17.
