DTV Coupon Program Coming To An End Soon

(WCCO) DTV assistance centers are reminding people that the coupon program to get $40 off the purchase of a digital converter box comes to an end July 31.

DTV assistance centers are urging people to hurry and apply for the coupon, or if you have one that you're not using, donate it to someone in need.

The transition to digital TV happened on June 12. The transition was a success for many TV stations but some homes have experienced problems with converter box installation or getting broadcast signals.

To apply for a coupon you can call 1-888-DTV-2009 or visit www.DTV2009.gov before the program ends. The coupons are valid for 90 days after they are issued and they can be given to others.
