Wis. Deputy Arrested For Drunken Driving

GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WCCO) ― A Wisconsin sheriff's deputy was arrested for drinking and driving on Sunday on his way to attend a week-long management training session, according to the deputy's boss.

St. Croix Sheriff Dennis Hillstead said Captain Mike Winberg was arrested for drunken driving in Grand Chute, Wis. near Appleton around 10 p.m. Sunday. Winberg is the third highest ranking deputy in the department.

Winberg is currently on paid administrative leave pending a review of the incident.
