An Iraq War veteran has been charged with threatening to "start a war" after his wife called police officers in Apple Valley, Minn.
According to the criminal complaint, 44-year-old Robert James Dunnum served in Iraq in 2006 and 2007. His wife told police he was suffering from post traumatic stress disorder and hasn't been able to seek treatment because he lost his drivers' license.
Police responded to Dunnum's house early Wednesday morning after his wife called reporting him to be intoxicated and threatening. She said he had yelled at her and held her down on a couch, waking up their 4-year-old daughter.
When she packed her things and called police, he allegedly threatened, "You want a war, I'll start a war."

Dunnum was engaged in a standoff with SWAT officers from Dakota County for a few hours, during which he told negotiators, "I don't want to hurt anyone, but if they come in, I will."
Eventually he surrendered. The Bloomington Bomb Squad seized Dunnam's artillery.
Dunnum has been charged with making terroristic threats, a felony, and with misdemeanor domestic assault.
